We saw Ray and Saw last night. Well, to be honest, we watched Saw first because it was so scary. We had to follow it up with a non-scary film. They were both amazing, in their own way. Saw FREAKED ME OUT! I love suspenseful movies with twists at the end. That was cool. Although I probably don't ever want to see it again! Ray was beautiful. Honey didn't really want to see it but then about 1/4 of the way through he said, "We must buy this movie!" Jamie Foxx deserved every ounce of gold (fake?) in that Academy Award! And it took me a while but I finally figured out that one of his buds at Atlantic Records was played by Curtis Armstrong, of Better Off Dead and Revenge of the Nerds fame (hello, Booger!). Too funny!
Tonight we are going to my oldest IRC friend Jim's annual St. Patrick's Day Party! Jim's as Irish-American as they come and he's always had this party. As one of his dearest friends, I always attend!!! It's not a rip roarin' shin dig with drunken bastards and lots of green beer. It's way more mellow than that -- hinging on the border of boring since Jim stopped drinking as much as he used to years back! Anyway, it'll be fun to see everyone again. And Jim makes the only corned beef in the world that I'll let touch my lips!
