I love working with them. I've watched so many of them change and grow in the past four months and I've seen how I've changed and grown with them. I want to see this through and get as much time with them as I can before the semester ends.
I woke up too early this morning to a migrane wishing me good morning and snow falling and covering our lawn. I couldn't get back to sleep so I turned on the news and they had extensive coverage of the current snow "storm" that is sweeping the front range. There's really only about a half inch of snow out there. But just because the temperature fell below freezing overnight, they have to plaster it all over the news and report about how the streets are so icy, oh wait now over here they're not icy, now they're just wet, no now they're icy again. Anyway, there were accidents galore yadda yadda. I fell back asleep and dreamed of driving my new car around town, slipping on the ice, trying to get out of a parking lot, watching everyone slide around and crash in front of me, all while trying desperately to learn how to drive on the snow and ice again with 4WD! I need Honey to take me and the 4Runner to an empty parking lot so I can practice driving in this stuff. I need to go out today and run a couple errands. Used to be I wouldn't dare leave the house on a day like today but with my SUV and the fact that I'm not going very far from home, I think I'm willing to take the challenge.
My male cat Merlyn is peeing all over the place again. Well, not really all over the place...mostly just on Honey's things. Last week he pee'd on Honey's blanket that was on his side of the bed. A couple days ago he peed on some papers that had been left on the floor over on Honey's side of our office in the loft. Early this morning, after Honey kicked him out of the bedroom so he could shower in peace (usually, Merlyn likes to stand at the bathroom door and hollar at him while he's showering), Merlyn pissed on the carpet just outside the door. Poor Honey. He gets so mad and it just about ruined his morning. But what I can't figure out is why do I feel personally responsible when it happens? Oh, and why the hell is Merlyn peeing so much?!!?!? I've changed his food, according to an expert's suggestion, but it hasn't helped. He's become more loving and sweet towards me, but that's it. I think he is possessive of me and that's why he only pees on Honey's things. It's not fair but what can I do?! I'm thinking of calling the Denver Dumb Friends League's Behavior Help Hotline today to inquire. I really don't want to have to call in a kitty shrink to help Merlyn "work through his issues." Yes, he's fixed and no, he's not "spraying." This is straight up stinky, man-cat pee. YUCK!!!!
I have nothing else to say right now. Talk amongst yourselves.|||111479254995486962|||Decided
