***UPDATE***

In case you read this post earlier today, rest assured that I have found some answers. I did some research on the internet and have determined that what I am experiencing is simply an Irritable Bowel Syndrome attack that was probably brought on last weekend when I drank the whiskey and smoked the cigarettes and consumed way too many Starbucks' lattes! I have found a way to alter my food intake in order to straighten things out. In case you're at all interested, the following websites helped me out considerably:

***WARNING: POOPY HEALTH ISSUES AHEAD! DO NOT READ ON IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW!***

I have not been feeling well the past couple of days. ...the past week, to be precise. I won't gross you out with the details but let's just say that I've been frequenting the toilet an unhealthy number of times every day and night. And we're not talking about my bladder here. I'm hoping some of you can offer me some advice...?

This all started last weekend when I was hungover on Saturday from drinking Jack Daniels and beer the night before. Typical hangover potty problems, no big deal. The thing is, it hasn't stopped. I have had Irritable Bowel Syndrome for a few years now and have been able to keep it under control on a daily basis. But all of a sudden, things are falling apart here. I have cramping, frequent visits to the potty, etc. Generally worn out from it all. I am trying to keep hydrated as best I can.

I can't figure out what has happened to my digestive system! Did the whiskey poison me and plant an icky bacteria in there to torture me for the rest of my days?! Am I suddenly lactose intolerant?! (PLEEEASE NO!! OH HOW I LOVE THE CHEESE!!!) What is going on here?!?!

I've narrowed it down to two possible problems:
1. I haven't had yogurt in several weeks so maybe my whole bodily bacteria deal is out of whack. I had a yogurt this morning and still no improvement there.
2. I started taking an iron supplement in January cuz the doc told me I was "slightly anemic." Is it possible that the iron is affecting my IBS like this? I didn't take an iron pill this morning to try and rule that out. Still problematic.

So I'm thinking about doing a cleansing diet deal. But I have no idea how/what to do! I can't fast...it's physically impossible for me (hypoglycemic and all). So that's out. But what kinds of foods should I try to live off of for a few days to cleanse my system? Rice? Fruit?

I'm asking for any suggestions you, my dear readers, may have for me. I don't know where to start and I'd really rather not break down and go to the doctor about this. But I need some relief soon! RAWR!

Sorry for the whiney health-related post....it's just ruling my life right now. Bah.
