I haven't had a period in four months. But only because my new doc altered my birth control pills schedule to help avoid my monthly migranes and excessive tiredness. This is the first period I've had since January. So I'm a litte more moody than I have been for the past three months, as my following story will demonstrate.

Last night, Honey came home early from work with a slight case of the sickies. He was sniffly and his throat was scratchy and he was super tired. Had been for two days and despite my forcefulness with the echinasea and Vitamin C, it got worse yesterday (further supporting my suspicion that his allergies were beginning to rear their ugly heads and it wasn't actually a cold). So he came home early, after stopping at the grocery store to pick up OJ and cold medicine from the grocery store. Here is the conversation we had:
Me (unloading his bag for him because as we all know, a sick man is a baby and cannot do anything for himself): You didn't have to buy this cold medicine. We have tons upstairs in the closet.
Him: I know but I used our Benny card to pay for it.
Me: Oh. So are we not going to run errands this evening? (as previously planned)
Him: No, I just want to go to bed and sleep forever.
Me: Doh. We need some things from the grocery store and I really shouldn't go alone today because I am under a lot of stress (with regards to my mom) and I could get trapped in the ice cream or cookie isle. So I was hoping we could go together tonight.
Him: Oh I guess I should've called you when I was at the store to see if we needed anything else at home.
Me: Yeah. That would have been ideal.

So I was a bit irked by this. I tucked him into bed and laid down with him for a little while. I asked if he wanted any dinner and he said that 'food does not sound good to me at all right now.' A bit later I had to go pick up the dog from the vet's. I've been craving Taco Bell this week (as per usual pre-mentstral) so I drove thru there and got myself some tasty dinner. Brought it home with the dog and ate my dinner (I was STARVING!). Then I woke Honey up and made him some chicken soup and OJ for his dinner.

Him: Did you eat already?
Me: Yeah. I had Taco Bell.
Him (pouting): DOH! Yum!
Me: Well I told you I was planning on us having that for dinner while we were out tonight but you didn't feel like eating or going out.
Him: I know.
Me: I guess I should've called you before I went there, huh?

Man, I can be such a bitch! I'm not normally this mean to my husband, believe me. Yesterday just wasn't a particularly Nice Wife day for me!

I'm better today. And so is he. We'll probably have Taco Bell tonight so that he is not completely deprived and starving. Poor baby. :P
