another Monday morning. Weeeee!

I had a lovely mother's day. Honey and I beat the rush at IHOP and had an early breakfast (sometimes, I need my crepes). Then we took Dobby to the Bark Park where he played with a bunch of other dogs, but mostly just wandered around smelling plants and marking them. He's such a little man. After that I ran over to Bath and Body Works to get two new scents of shower gel and spray. Then to lunch, and a bit of furniture shopping. Mid-afternoon, we drove by the park near our house and saw a couple groups of people flying kites - it was pretty windy here yesterday. So we went home and Honey pulled out his favorite stunt kite. I haven't flown a kite in over 15 years! But we had so much fun!!!! My neck is sore today from staring up at the kite in the sky for so long!

Last night we had dinner with the in-laws at a nice Itallian place. MIL is coming over tomorrow to help me measure a couple windows in our house and then taking me to someplace to look at curtains. Decorating this house is one of my top priorities for the summer. However, since MIL is coming over, I HAVE TO CLEAN THE HOUSE!!!! No way can I let her see the spots on our kitchen floor, or the piles of paper on the tables, or the stacks of books and groups of cleaning products that just never got totally put away weeks ago! I'm almost done with the downstairs. The upstairs is just getting a quick wipe down and vacuum. And I have to cover up my magickal books...those are still secret from her.

It's supposed to reach 80 degrees here today! I'm making SUN TEA!!!!
