We saw 'em play last night at a house concert. They were all set up and actually performed in front of a crowd of about 35 people (or more?) in a guy's living room! It was incredible. These guys have such a super stage presence. They're witty and funny as they tune up their instruments and such between songs. But really, the most impressive thing to me is that they use one single microphone. That's one mic shared by five band members: fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar and bass players, four of which take turns singing different songs. They say it's true to the "old time bluegrass" tradition and I'll take their word for it! Go check out their site, listen to some samples of their music and try to catch them live if you get a chance. You truly won't regret it!
P.S. That weatherpixie chick down there on the left side of this blog is a freakin' liar! It's sooooo not sunny and pretty outside. It's been gloomy grey and snowing off and on all day today...and every danged day for the past three days. I AM OVER IT! BRING ON THE SUN!|||111498672928123559|||The Best Bluegrass Band in Colorado
