It's fun to floor it and pass the little people in the slow lane when the urge strikes. It's fun to gaze out the window at said SUV and feel overly-protective of it (telling Honey, "NO FARTING IN THE NEW CAR!").
It is not, however, fun to pay $50 for a full tank of gas an a car wash. No. Not so much.
When I filled up my car yesterday and yanked my receipt out of the stupid machine, I felt like I had been punched in the stomach. I knew it would cost more to fill up the SUV than it did to fill up my little Camry. But I wasn't prepared for that much! I drove home in a pout and threw myself on the couch, complaining to Honey. He assured me that we can afford to pay that much more for gas or else we would not have purchased the car in the first place. Also, one must take into consideration that before I got the new ride, I didn't drive much at all. I drove to school and other random appointments. Honey drove us all over on the weekends. So in my car, I really only had to fill up my tank every couple of weeks. Since we got the 4Runner, I have become the designated driver. I haven't been in Honey's car (another SUV) since the day we picked up the 4Runner.
There now...excuses and weak attempts at justification always make feel better!|||111521835372802882|||Something Fun and Something Not So Much
