Thank you to everyone for your well-wishes yesterday. I'm sorry my post sounded bitter and angry but I was very inconvenienced by the pain in my back. I did what everyone told me to do, I left the pillows in the tub and collapsed in the recliner for the day. Honey got home mid-afternoon and brought me a heating pad that unfortunately wouldn't stay hot enough for me. I alternated ice and heat throughout the evening as I was instructed to do after my car accident a couple years ago. I took Aleve and Motrin (not at the same time!) but nothing even came close to touching the pain. It persisted. I tried to sleep flat on my back all night but I'm such a side-sleeper that it really didn't last.
The dog is not helping me rest my back at all. He demands to go in and out at least 15 times throughout the morning to sit in the sun, go potty, bark at the neighbors, or whatever suits his fancy. Then when he's inside he knocks his new favorite toy under the coffee table and then whines and cries for me to get on my hands and knees to get it for him. Some days he just sleeps all day. Apparently, this is not one of those days! Hehe!
Bad news is the pain is worse today. I finally took a shower so at least now I feel clean. There is absolutely NOTHING on TV during the daytime so I'm probably going to just read read read.
Yesterday I saw the movie Amelie which I borrowed from my sis-in-law. WHAT A CUTE MOVIE!!! I loved every minute of it! And now I know where Travelocity (and, subsequently, Cori) got the idea for the Roaming Gnome! If you haven't seen it yet and if you can handle subtitles, I would highly reccomend it!

So I've got to slowly climb my way back downstairs now and maybe take a muscle relaxer I got from the doc last year for neck pain. If nothing else, it might just knock me out for a few hours. Please leave a message after the beep....

P.S. I must feel better by tomorrow because Yankee Candle Company is having their semi-annual 50% off sale tomrrow and I absolutely must participate in that!!!! If I have to steal a wheelchair to get there, I'll do it! You've been warned!
