I forgot how much I loooooove used CD and DVD shopping! SecondSpin used to be my favorite store. There was a time where I worked in a building within a half block from the store. I was in heaven! I haven't been to the store in many many moons. On Saturday, Honey and I went by there and we scored BIG TIME! Here's what I got:

The Beekeeper (CD) - Tori Amos
200 More Miles (Live Performances 1985-1994) (CD)- Cowboy Junkies
The X-Files Movie: Fight the Future (DVD)
American Pie (DVD)
American Wedding (DVD)
SNL - Best of Chris Kattan (DVD) - this ended up being a huge disappointment. But at least it was only a $7 disappointment instead of a $15 one!

And Honey got two other CDs that I can't remember the names of. It was "buy three get fourth one free" day. All those CDs and DVDs only cost us about $65. Yeah, that's a lot of money. But if we had purchased all of them new, it would've cost at least TWICE that amount!

I was literally on a retail high for the rest of the afternoon! I am currently ripping them to my iPod.

I finished the Pilot's Wife on Saturday. If you haven't read it yet, I HIGHLY suggest it to anyone! What a great novel! It totally blew me away about 1/2 way through! Go. Read. Now!

Did you hear about that poor girl who was killed from a shark attack in Florida? And now there's been another attack (non-lethal) just today. Well, this has suddenly got me in a slight panic. I fear sharks to no end. I normally don't have to face that fear regularly since I live in a land-locked state and rarely travel to the ocean. For some reason, when I went to Hawaii and Maui two years ago on our honeymoon, I wasn't very conscious of this fear. But now, with these reports coming in of shark attacks off the Florida coastline, and since I'm going to the South Carolina coastline in less than a week....well, I'm starting to think I just won't get in the water! To ease my concerns, Honey says, "I won't let them get you," and "It's warmer in the gulf coast than it is in Hilton Head." That first one is sweet, but really, he can't protect me from sharks. I'm not that gullible! And I'm trying to search the web right now for statistical info on the water temps and shark sightings in Hilton Head of late. So far, I am finding nothing. Except that there have been approximately 42 shark attacks on people in South Carolina between 1675 and 2001. That's a long ass time. In comparison, Florida has experienced over 450 in the same time frame. This comes as some relief to me. *cold sweat*

Did I mention that our flight leaves at SIX FREAKING THIRTY IN THE MORNING on Saturday!?!?!? I'm not even close to consciousness until 7:30 most days. I think I might sleep on the couch so that Honey can just roll me out the door and into the car that morning. Ugh.
