I did it. I got it over with. I did my shopping like a mad-woman yesterday. I don't really enjoy shopping for clothes. Maybe it's because I can only shop in the Womens' department where they have an extremely limited selection of cute clothes that actually look good on me. No, that can't be it. I've always hated shopping. My grandmother is a shop-aholic. She used to drag me and my mother to the mall when we lived near them and I was a wee child. We'd spend entire days, almost weekly, at the mall. When I got older, I came to realize that it wasn't any fun. I went with her to the mall once when I was about 16 and tried to split up from her so that we could each go to our favorite stores on our own (I needed to go to Claires and Bath and Body Works, she desired Robinson's May and Lord and Taylor). She did not like that idea of splitting up and made me stick with her for the rest of the day. It was miserable. I quickly realized that she just wanted me to follow her around from store to store and watch as she fondled every article of clothing on the racks while not buying a single item. That's when I began boycotting shopping with her.

I hate trying on clothes, looking at my self in the mirror, hauling bags of crap around for hours. I like shopping for THINGS but not clothes. Unless I'm with my Honey. He has this amazing ability to pick out these beautiful outfits that compliment my figure very well. And when I come out of the dreaded fitting rooms, if I beg him hard enough, he will be honest with me and tell me if an outfit looks like shit on me. Together we can get in, try on, and get out of clothing stores in record time.

So yesterday I went to four different stores to try on clothes. I found a GREAT deal on a beautiful dress (regularly priced at $60, rang up at $30!) and even found comfortable matching pink sandles that were reasonably priced. I found a couple cute tops and one pair of denim shorts. I will say that I love to buy pjs. So I bought another nightgown. Swimsuits were not available for me as none of these stores had any in my size. I've got one that I got in Maui two years ago but the chest part is becoming rather stretched out. It'll be more fun to try on suits in Hilton Head after I've spent a couple days tanning on the beach!

I got me a cute little Tinkerbell purse and a Tinkerbell knapsack for my carry-on.

There you have it...I don't like to shop. Shoe shopping and clothes shopping are the worst. I like to shop for CDs, electronics, body lotions and other girlie things, purses, books, accessories and what not. Now I've gotten my seasonal shopping spree out of the way for another few months!

I've taken a few pictures with my new camera that I want to share with you. I'll work more on that this afternoon....
