I just read two books in two weeks; one of them I started on Thursday and finished last night. I'm ashamed to admit this but the truth is that since all my favorite regular TV shows have finished for the summer, there's NOTHING to watch on the ole tube! So instead, I read! Imagine that!
So I read and loved Lucky: A Memoir by Alice Sebold (ie. The Lovely Bones). What an amazing true story. I couldn't put it down. Then I just recently finished The True and Outstanding Adventures of the Hunt Sisters by Elisabeth Robinson. It was pretty good, sort of repetative at times. The entire book is written in the form of letters from the narrator to various people in her life. Made me cry at the end.
Up next I must choose from the following books:
The Art of Mending by Elizabeth Berg
The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri
Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon
Please, my friends, help me decide by tonight what to crack open next!|||111815771679127733|||Speed Reading
