You know…I did not intend to spark up a big controversy on my blog regarding my mentioning or not mentioning anything about Hurricane Katrina. Everyone has a right to blog (or not blog) about whatever they want. If I don’t say anything more about the Hurricane beyond the fact that it SUCKS doesn’t mean I’m not feeling it, dealing with it, any less than those people who are blogging about it regularly.
Please, don’t come to my blog to keep tabs on what I’m writing about (or not, as the case may be). And please, don’t start frivolous debates about it in the comments. This isn’t that kind of blog. Go somewhere else for that.
Kyt got me thinking. I emailed him/her a couple days ago with sincere apologies for any misunderstandings. I have yet to hear a response. I posted some honest thoughts and feelings I’ve been having about the Hurricane. But apparently, that still didn’t appease him/her. And so now I’m wondering why s/he continues to come here, comment and debate this topic with me and my other readers, and yet fails to offer us a link to his/her own blog so that we may go visit and see what s/he is blogging about the Hurricane him/herself.
What’s the big deal?! Don’t tell me how to conduct myself on my blog. How in the world is that PROACTIVELY helping the people in the South? If you don’t like it here, you don’t have to come back.
Jeeeeeez.
