Quick Update
The party was great and so was the dip. We took some of our homebrew and that was a big hit with almost everyone. I got to know some of my coworkers and my boss a lot better in such a casual atmosphere.
Good news: the bachelors degree in ECE is a GO, it’s just waiting to be “signed off” by the powers that be. So, I am assuming that by the time I’m done with my associates (next summer) I can start in on the rest of the work required for the bachelors. WOO HOO!
More good news: there may be a lead teacher position opening up in our classroom next semester. I heard a rumor and I’m going to talk to my director about it. She says I’m “a keeper” so I know she’ll be interested in my interest in said position! That would mean that I’d get to lead groups of children in their learning and development throughout their time at our center: teach them how to write their name, recognize and draw shapes, evaluate their developmental progress overall and have conferences with the parents. Rockin’ SWEET!
Had an exam this morning in Geology. Studied my ass off but I still don’t know how well I did on it. Oh well. I did my best, right?
Honey and I are rotating back into our homebrewing hobby now. He bottled a braggot he brewed last September over the weekend. I made labels and named it and such. Check it out on his blog here. I think we’re going to brew a stout this weekend or next and enter some of our stuff in a local homebrew competition. I’m not sure which I like best…the brewing, the bottling, the naming or the drinking of the beer!
Bottom’s up!
