What I Have
I hate my doctor. This is the second time in a year that I’ve sat in her exam room waiting for her to appear for over AN HOUR! I got so mad. I was feeling miserable, tired and hungry. RAWR! I’m changing doctors after this experience today. When I was describing my symptoms to her, I happened to mention that I got a migrane today. To which she replied, “So are you sure your other symptoms aren’t just a result of your migrane?” RAWR AGAIN! What did she think? I was there to score some hard-core antibiotics to share with my buddies?! Whatever.
Anyway, I’ve got bronchitis and sinus infection. Go figure. I always get those in combos. Never just bronchitis or just sinus infection. Always both. But this time, I’m not smoking anymore (not since July!) so the bronchitis should not be quite as painful as in past.
Okay so I’m loaded up with anitbiotics, nasal spray, ibuprofren and, shortly, NyQuil. It’s 8:15 and I’m going to bed. I’m not going to my morning class tomorrow…we’ll see about the rest of the day later.
I called my mother-in-law for some much needed mothering. (If you’re at all familiar with my past issues with my own mother, you’ll understand that this was a big step for me to actually call the in-law up and ask her to be my mother! go me!) I told her that her son and I are both sick (yes, he’s got bronchitis, too) and I asked her to make us her delicious chicken noodle soup. The only time I ever like to eat chicken noodle soup is when I’m sick. And I usually just stick with Campbell’s but Carolyn’s homemade goodness is to die for (almost literally, come to think of it!). Thankfully, she jumped at the chance to mother us! She’s coming over in the morning with chicken soup and to change our sheets. She talked about maybe coming by tonight to help out but all we really needed to do was lie in front of the TV and moan in private. So she’ll be by in the morning.
I’m getting a new doctor from now on. I’ve given this one plenty of chances to win me over and it’s just not going well at all. Bah. I hate doctor-shopping.
Now it’s off to bed to fulfill Maggie’s prescription…plus some NyQuil. *hack* *hack* *sniffle*
G’night!
