Thanks to Callista’s recommendation, I got me a spam catcher on here now. So all you spammers commenting on my super old posts better look out! I am too l33t for you! Hopefully it won’t disturb comments from my regular friends. I’ll keep a close eye on it for a couple days.
I got a B on my Geology test from last week. Thank Goddess for the grading curve, is all I have to say about that!
The Spring schedule came out this week. My boss wants me to work more often next semester, though. I’m going in to talk with her before work this afternoon to see if by “work more often” she means “be a lead teacher with more responsibilties and your very own drawer” or just “be here more often for the crazy kiddos.” I think she means the former but I just want to make sure before I go scheduling my own classes for next semester.
Speaking of next semester, I’m considering a couple of things. First of all, I need a total of 6 science credits for my AA degree. Thus, I am taking 4 credits now of Physical Geology. I had planned on following it up with Historical Geology next semester to complete the credit requirements but this class is really bugging me. It’s interesting but I am quickly losing interest and cannot fathom another full semester of rocks. So I think I’m going to take Astronomy. I know a couple people Astronomy now and it seems that they have a test or quiz once or twice a week which scares me. But one of the Astronomy students I talked to yesterday said it really depends on the teacher. She recommended her instructor in particular so I may try to get her next semester.
Secondly, I only need 3 credits of History for the degree. My current Western Civ class fulfills that requirement. However, this class only goes up through 1715 or something around there and I want to know MORE! So I think I shall take Western Civ II next semester just “for fun.” *gasp* My mother is so proud.
Thirdly, I need a Hummanities class and someone recommended I take The Cultural History of Rock and Roll. Sounds great to me! But they don’t offer it next semester. Maybe I’ll hold out and try to take it over the summer.
Yeah, I’m working all that stuff out in my noodle lately. Next semester I will be quite busy indeed, what with more teaching/working and studying. I won’t take more than 2 classes next semester though (right now I’m taking 3). I’m not insane. I know what I can handle and I cannot handle more than that!
