This week I’ve been working at the center to get our classroom and schedule ready for the kiddos who’ll arrive next week. I’ve been going to meetings, hanging up pictures and boarders around our room, planning weekly themes for the rest of the semester, and much more. I’m taking tomorrow off, though, cuz I need a break. I never realized it before (prolly b/c I’ve never been a lead teacher before) but the preparation and planning that goes into a semester of preschool is harder and more exhausting than actually teaching a semester of preschool! I’m learning a lot already and the three other teachers in my room are all taking me under their wings to show me the ropes. I’ll go back on Thursday to reorganize and clean out our very small, very crowded supply closet. Needless to say, the cleaning and reorganizing in my own house is now on hold!

My own school starts next week, as well. I’m borrowing the textbook for my Astronomy class from a coworker and I bought the books for my Humanities class online. I really save a ton of money ordering used textbooks through Amazon or B&N and the like.

Can you tell I’m exhausted?! This post is boring as all get out! And to think I still have a First Aid class to go to tonight. Ugh. Sleeeeeep.
