Where you been?
Me? I’ve been busy…finishing up the summer semester at work, hurting my shoulder, cleaning out the basement, seeing a dentist for the first time in 10 years, oh, and buying this with Honey:
It all started about a year ago when Honey began talking about wanting to take the Motorcycle Safety Course. See, my dad has ridden a motorcycle almost all his life, has been on a Harley for about half of it. So we have some pretty set-in-stone rules when it comes to ethically being a motorcycle rider in our family:
THE RULES
1. Take (and pass) the Motorcycle Safety Course at least once.
2. Shop for an economical, used, foriegn road bike.
3. Log as many hours as possible, learn as much as possible and save as much money as possible before purchasing a Harley.
For a while now, Honey lived the biker life vicariously through my dad, the motorcycle shows on TV and buying Harley shirts, hats and stickers. When Spring sprung this year, he talked about it more often, and I, being the ever-frugal woman that I am, kept denying himthe course because it was too expensive. But when our wedding anniversary came round in June I caved and surprised him by signing him up for the class! (more…)
