January: I was easily conned into thinking A Million Little Pieces was true. Thankfully, I later recanted.

February: I tried to find some of my old favorite shows from my childhood.

March: I started a bloggy-book-club that was fun while it lasted.

April: I was a dinosaur.

May: I admitted I was a junkie (still am!).

June: I took my Chihuahua on a boat!

July: My Chihuahua went Bi-Polar.

August: I finally went to the dentist for the first time in 11 years!

September: I read a wonderful book.

October: I started to fly!

November: I got a touch of the political virus.

December: I started makin’ babies.

We had a lovely Christmas with friends and family. Now we’re off to ring in the New Year in Santa Fe! Adios!

Last night at Honey’s Bday party, we told my MIL that we are trying to make her a grandmother. She was so excited. She said, “HEY! That’s not just something you blurt out while yo’ Mama is eating a’ enchilada!” So then we chatted about it and she said she didn’t need to hear anything about my cycles, how we “try” in the bedroom, etc. Then she began sharing her own struggles with conception.
After seven years of trying to conceive, they decided to adopt my beloved Honey. I’m not sure if they had given up on continuing to TTC or what but seven years later, SURPRISE! Honey’s sister was born.
At the end of her story, she relayed the moral of it to us, in her own heartfelt, and extremely respectful (to me) way by saying: “If you just leave it up to God…or whoever you choose…it will happen.”
Bless her heart! She knows I’m Pagan but doesn’t have any interest in discussing it with me, which is fine. But I noticed her comment “or whoever you choose” and was touched by the respect she showed me with that. Awww.
