Sorry I haven’t been blogging lately. It’s been a busy couple of weeks around here. Here’s what I’ve been up to:

-@- Ninety percent of my preschoolers graduated last week so I had to spend the previous couple of weeks taking mad amounts of pictures of them for our slide-show presentation for their graduation ceremony. I had to write up evaluations on all of my kids and have conferences with their parents. Then we had work-days at the center where we teachers got CPR training updated, staff meeting and summer planning sessions. The room I’m normally in takes “school-agers” (ages 6-13) during the summer and I am not very good with that older group of kids. So I’m moving to the “back room” with the 2-3 year olds for the summer. It does mean potty training but I don’t mind that too much and my co-teacher in that room is becoming a good, dear friend of mine. So we’ll have fun! I’ve got this whole week off from work until it’s time to get the room ready before summer session starts on May 29.

-@- I finished my last class for my Associates Degree! WOO HOO! I aced the class and the instructor gave me a hug after my final exam and told me that I made the class bearable for her. How sweet. I am planning on waiting until I have a baby and it’s a couple years old before I proceed in a bachelor’s program for Early Childhood Ed. but my aforementioned friend is interested in enrolling in that program, too, and if she does it next Spring, then I’ll join her. She says she wants to get started in the Fall but she’s having a baby at the end of summer (her first) so I highly doubt she’ll be ready to jump back into school with a newborn on her hands!

-@- Honey got me a Wii and I’m addicted! I used to play Zelda on the Super NES eons ago and now I’m enjoying this new and improved Zelda game on the Wii! It’s challenging and I keep dying but it’s fun nonetheless. I’m trying to get Mii’s to come to my machine and visit my Mii’s but noone is showing. Maybe I’m not doing it right. If anyone reading this knows anything about the Mii’s, please leave me a comment or drop me an email to help me troubleshoot this!

-@- I’ve been riding my motorcycle a lot! I rode it to work almost every day last week, until I left the ignition on over night and killed the battery. Got a new battery in it on Friday and now it’s really ready to go. Honey and I have fun riding together and although I really like to run errands whilst on the bike, I’ve quickly found that space is limited when bringing new items home! We sure had fun trying to strap down two clothing boxes from Coldwater Creek to the back of Honey’s bike the other night after shopping for Mother’s Day! LOL

-@- We had a lovely Mother’s Day weekend. Saturday we had breakfast at the SIL’s house with the inlaws and Sunday we took my mom to lunch and the new Denver Art Museum. Both my SIL and my mom told me, “Just think, this time next year you could be enjoying your first Mother’s Day as a MOTHER!” That got me all excited again to have a baby! I am going in for the check up on left side of my mouth since the surgery today and then I’m scheduling the other half to be done probably end of June. Keep your fingers crossed that everything’s improving!

-@- I’m holding my breath waiting for my passport to arrive. We leave for Canada to go Salmon fishing on June 1 but I still haven’t gotten my passport returned! I was only just renewing my old one and changing my name since I got married when I sent it in in February. But I forgot to sign the paperwork so they sent it back to me. I signed and resent but haven’t heard anything back since then! I’m starting to panic. And they have a message on their customer service line that basically says, “We are too damned busy to take your call so just try back later.” Dumbasses.

Dobby is participating in the PetCo’s Chihuahua Races this weekend! It should be a lot of fun watching 300 Chi’s try to “race.” LOL We’ll be sure to take lots of pictures and I’ll show you how it turns out next week!
