Party! Times TWO!
It’s been a party-filled couple of weekends here at Chez Honey! Actually, one party here and then another one away from home. But still…
First there was my birthday party. That was mega-fun! Lots of people showed up and played games! We had people rockin’ out to Guitar Hero III on the Wii in the living room and others gathered in the dining room to gamble away chips at the poker table. It was great! We had so much fun at poker that we want to host a poker night again in the next month or so! Click below for pictures.
Then this past weekend we went to Fort Collins for a special dinner where my father-in-law received a special award from the Business School at CSU. The dinner was held in the hotel where Honey and I got married so we reminisced a lot and spent the night in one of the rooms. It was so much fun to get dressed up, put on make up, and look all pretty for the dinner party. Honey took lots of pictures of Frank’s special event and you can see them all here at my other blog, too, including some nice group/pair photos of my awesome family. Click below for those pictures!
Next weekend we are going to yet another dinner party! This one is supposed to be a benefit dinner for an organization called My Life Line . org. I’ve just only been introduced to this site a couple weeks ago but I’m trying to get my feet wet in the advocacy for cancer awareness in my area and this seemed like a great way to get started. Mylifeline.org provides a place for people with serious illnesses to maintain a blog like mine here with pictures, updates and places to keep in touch with their families and friends throughout their challenges and triumphs. It’s wonderful that there is a place that people can do this for FREE in a user-friendly format that’s easy to find. If I didn’t already have this pretty site up I’d definitely move all this over there!
