Ow
All kinds of new ow’s to experience. Yesterday, I held it together long enough to take my daddy and his girlfriend out to dinner for his birthday last night. I was extremely tired but I had a great time being out and about having a night on the town! I ate delicious scallops and a chocolately dessert at the Denver Fresh Fish Company. Yum!
I did not sleep well last night. Kept waking up with aches and pains that only multiplied when I dragged myself out of bed at 8am. I have a random list of symptoms, all to be expected with the drugs (old and new), low immunity etc. Sore throat, nauseous tummy, painful/sore tummy, painful to breathe deeply, sore muscles in my legs, arms and neck, swollen throat glands, headache, extreme fatigue. Jeeesh. It’s just lovely spending the day in bed again.
Honey’s been a dear. He’s been doing our regular Sunday household chores (laundry, pickup Scarlett’s toys, dishes, generally getting the house ready for the cleaning ladies to come on Tuesday) while also repairing our kitchen flourescent light fixture and getting me random things that sick people ask for from bed: hot tea, cold water, refilled humidifier, more medication, new box of kleenex, etc. Not to mention minding the wild dogs. I wonder if I should get him to take the dogs to Doggy Day Care tomorrow morning? Or should I call Carolyn and ask for her help tomorrow? I’ll think it over and decide later this evening. Carolyn, if you’re reading this before then and want to volunteer, please give me a call.
Otherwise, I’ll call you later when my throat heals a bit.
Honey got me a PSP on Friday so thankfully I have something new to keep me occupied when I’m not asleep in bed. And I finally broke down and asked him to set up my laptop in bed this afternoon, too. *sigh* It has come to this. Bedridden. Stupid CAKE.
